For cPanel & WHM 11.44

(Home >> Service Configuration >> Apache Configuration >> Log Rotation)

Overview

This feature allows you to decide which Apache log files the cpanellogd daemon will archive monthly.

The cpanellogd daemon compresses the specified log files into monthly archives and stores them in the /usr/local/apache/logs/archive/ directory.

Warning:

cPanel & WHM does not automatically delete these archive files. We recommend that you delete Apache log files that are older than one month. Otherwise, the log file archive will quickly fill your disk space.

Configure log files

To select the log files that the cpanellogd daemon will archive, perform the following steps:

  1. Select the appropriate checkboxes that correspond to the log files that you wish to archive.
    • error_log - This log file contains errors that Apache encounters when it tries to process a request.
    • access_log - This log file contains all requests that Apache processes.
  2. Click Save.
