Overview

This interface allows you to specify how customers who use cPanel's deprecated x3 theme may contact you with support requests. You can select from the following options:

  • Display Contact Information.
  • Submit Request to Email or URL.
  • Disable.

Display Contact Information

This feature allows you to edit the information that the cPanel interface displays when your customers click the Help, Contact, and Support links.

Note:

Every section is optional. However, you must edit at least one of these sections to allow your customers to use this feature. 

To use this feature, perform the following steps:

  1. Select Display Contact Information.
  2. Enter the information that you wish for your customers to see.
    •  We recommend that you enter information for every department in order to expedite customer support requests.
  3. Click Save Changes.

Submit Request to Email or URL

This feature allows you to specify how your customers can submit a support request. You can select from the following options:

  • URL — Select this option to specify the location of a ticket system that you provide your customers to submit support requests.
  • Email — Select this option to specify an email address for customers to submit support requests.

    Note:

    $body

  • Pipe to a program — Select this option to send support requests to a program that you wish to handle the requests. If you select this option, enter the absolute path to the program or script (for example, /root/path/test.pl).

    Important:

    You must enter the path to the program that you wish to handle support requests. cPanel & WHM does not include support request software.

Disable

This feature does not display support request information in the cPanel interface.

Important:

We recommend that you only disable customer contact options if you do not provide an online support system.

Customize HTML pages

This feature allows you to customize the appearance of your support pages.

To use this feature, perform the following steps:

  1. Select the page that you wish to edit.
    • Contact Information — This is the interface that your customers see when they click Contact.
    • Support Contact Information — This is the interface that your customers see when they click Submit a Support Request.
  2. Select the theme for which you wish to edit the support page.
  3. Click edit.

Note

If you disallow root user or reseller logins to cPanel user accounts, the Page to Edit: menu under the Customize HTML pages heading will not function. To re-enable this feature, select one of the options in the Accounts that can access a cPanel user account setting in WHM's Tweak Settings - System interface (Home >> Server Configuration >> Tweak Settings).
