Overview

The mod_dav Apache module provides WebDAV functionality for Apache. WebDAV is an extension to the HTTP protocol that allows users to create, move, copy, and delete resources and collections on a web server.

Usage

Use the mod_dav module to enable the WebDAV protocol.

How to install or uninstall mod_dav

The EasyApache profiles do not provide the mod_dav Apache module by default.

Installation steps

To install or uninstall the mod_dav Apache module, perform the following steps:

  1. Run EasyApache in WHM's EasyApache 3 interface (Home >> Software >> EasyApache 3).

    Note:

    To access EasyApache from the command line interface, run the /scripts/easyapache script as the root user.
  2. Select the profile that you wish to modify.
  3. Click the  icon that corresponds to your selection.
  4. Click Next Step in the Apache Version stage of the EasyApache 3 interface.
  5. Click Next Step in the PHP Version stage of the EasyApache 3 interface.
  6. Click Exhaustive Options List in the Short Options List stage of the EasyApache 3 interface.
  7. Perform one of the following actions in the Exhaustive Options List stage of the EasyApache 3 interface:
    • To install the mod_dav Apache module, select the Dav option.
    • To uninstall the mod_dav Apache module, deselect the Dav option.
  8. Click Save and Build.

How to enable or disable the module in a custom EasyApache profile file

The following table contains the module information that EasyApache stores in the profile file for the module:

To enable or disable the mod_dav Apache module in a custom EasyApache profile file, set the Apache: optmods: Dav profile entry to one of the following values:

  • 1 - This value enables the module.
  • 0 - This value disables the module.

Requirements

DavFS

The mod_dav Apache module requires the mod_dav_fs Apache module. If you select the Dav option in EasyApache, your Apache build automatically includes the mod_dav_fs Apache module. The mod_dav_fs Apache module provides the DAV file system provider. For more information on the mod_dav_fs Apache module, click the following links:
