Overview

The mod_disk_cache and mod_cache_disk Apache modules are storage management modules for the mod_cache Apache module.

If you use Apache version 2.2, the EasyApache option DiskCache enables the mod_disk_cache Apache module.

If you use Apache version 2.4, the EasyApache option DiskCache enables the mod_cache_disk Apache module.

Usage

Apache version 2.2

If you use Apache version 2.2, use the mod_disk_cache Apache module to direct the mod_cache Apache module to store its cached data in the directory that you specify.

To direct the mod_cache Apache module to store its cached data in the server's memory instead of a directory, use the mod_mem_cache Apache module.

Apache version 2.4

If you use Apache version 2.4, use the mod_cache_disk Apache module to direct the mod_cache Apache module to store its cached data in the directory that you specify.

How to install or uninstall mod_disk_cache or mod_cache_disk

mod_disk_cache implements a disk based storage manager. It is primarily of use in conjunction with mod_cache .

Content is stored in and retrieved from the cache using URI based keys. Content with access protection is not cached.

htcacheclean can be used to maintain the cache size at a maximum level.
